Refrigeration may be defined as the process of achieving and maintaining a temperature below that of the surroundings, the aim being to cool some product or space to the required temperature. Air conditioning is the process of altering the properties of air to more comfortable conditions, typically with the aim of distributing the conditioned air to an occupied space, such as a building or a vehicle, to improve the thermal comfort and indoor air quality. This video class has been developed based on the latest GATE syllabus and will be useful for Mechanical Engineering students as well as for GATE exams preparation.
